Bogotá

Go to Bogotá, the capital of Colombia, for some incredible food in one of the best restaurants in the country. Stay in the zone La Candelaria, being home to colonial buildings, old houses and cobbled streets, the gold museum and churches, restaurants and bars. Go on a guided graffiti tour and don’t miss out to visit Cerro Monserrate for an amazing city view. The underground Salt Cathedral of Zipaquirá just outside the city is the perfect destination for a day trip. Go to the north of the city to find boutique hotels and chic nightlife zones like Zona Rosa.

Medellín

Located in a long valley and built against green mountainsides, Medellin’s setting is simply gorgeous. The climate is idyllic and its people, called Paisa’s, are a friendly, proud and entrepreneurial folk. The city’s vibe is all about its remarkable transformation and there are plenty things to do. Spend a morning on a local market and taste over 15 fruits you have never tasted before. Go to the city center and visit Plaza Botero with the signature sculptures of the famous, local artist Fernando Botero. Visit one of the museums to learn about Medellín’s notable history, make a relaxing walk through the botanical garden “Jardín Botánico” afterwards or go for a guided tour in former inaccessible neighborhood Comuna 13. Enjoy amazing city views from above in a cable car while heading to Parque Arví or take an adventurous paragliding flight over the city.
